USPA Accepting Awards Nominations

Recommended Posts

From the USPA web site.

USPA is accepting nominations for the USPA Lifetime Achievement Award and the USPA Gold Medal for Meritorious Service and for awards managed by the National Aeronautic Association (NAA) and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) until May 15. At the next board meeting, scheduled for July 16-18 in the Boston area, USPA will consider all nominations that are received before the May deadline. Descriptions of the awards and procedures for nominating individuals appear in the Skydiver's Information Manual, Section 8. More information is available by contacting USPA Director of Competition and Special Projects Larry Bagley via e-mail at lbagley@uspa.org or by phone at (540) 604-9740, ext. 312.

This could be interesting....

Hey NickG! Wanna take bets on whether this award goes to a deserving recipient or will it be a "parting" gift for service?

I nominate MatthewCline, BillyVance, Cspencefly and Jumpdude for their dedication and diligence to our sport by getting the 1 800 Skyride/ASC/AST/Thrill Planet (etc) criminals out and educating the public about our sport and how to avoid being scammed by the crime being perpetrated upon our sport and others by Cary Quattrocchi's companies.

You left out a few more individuals, but thank you for the thought. :D

If anybody deserves it more, I'd throw Jan Meyer, Larry Hill, Betsy Barnhouse and John Hall in the mix too. :)

On second thought, Larry Hill would be #1 in my book to get the next award.

He actually called Cary out on his boast "go ahead and sue me, I got more money than God!"

And guess what? Larry won!

You da man, Larry! B|

You both are absolutely correct! Larry, Jan and Betsy are the heros in the issue. I absolutely did NOT mean to slight them, my apologies. You're all winners in my book!
