freefalljason 0 #3 January 31, 2010 Hey Brian, Cool Vid!! Thanks for sharing it with us. It was really cool to see the clip from The Jumping Place in St. Marys, GA. I was traveling in the area and made a jump there yesterday!! Cathy is great! She basically put up a load just for me so I would be able to get a jump in at her DZ while I was there. Blue skies, Jason

Blue skies, Jason That sounds like Cathy. She is the hardest working person in skydiving, and has a lot of heart. You can see it in every aspect of her DZ. It is a truly great place to jump.Instructional Videos:www.AdventureWisdom.com Keynote Speaking:www.TranscendingFEAR.com Canopies and Courses:www.BIGAIRSPORTZ.com

iowa 0 #11 February 1, 2010 Good stuff, but, why is it that everyone with a camera on their head is looking at their canopy as it inflates when they should be looking in front of them, looking out for others? BrianSGermain 1 #12 February 1, 2010 QuoteSo, could someone chip in and say what the video is actually about? Haha. Does it really have to be about something? Hopefully it makes you feel good when you watch it. That's really all I am every trying to accomplish when I make a video like this. It is about sharing a series of beautiful moments, and the incredibly positive feeling I get when I throw my body at the planet and miss. -BSGInstructional Videos:www.AdventureWisdom.com Keynote Speaking:www.TranscendingFEAR.com Canopies and Courses:www.BIGAIRSPORTZ.com
BrianSGermain 1 #13 February 1, 2010 QuoteGood stuff, but, why is it that everyone with a camera on their head is looking at their canopy as it inflates when they should be looking in front of them, looking out for others? It is your choice where you want to look during opening. I personally get a better idea about my canopy's heading if I look at it. Not to mention, every jump I make is a test jump, and I am collecting vital data about the parachute's opening characteristics. That being said, I agree that looking out for other canopies after opening is very important. -BSGInstructional Videos:www.AdventureWisdom.com Keynote Speaking:www.TranscendingFEAR.com Canopies and Courses:www.BIGAIRSPORTZ.com

I always thought of flat flying the whole time like eating in the bathroom, waiting for the inevitable conclusion. :) The truth is, I love flat flying. There are things you can do only on your belly. pchapman 279 #15 February 1, 2010 Quote Haha. Does it really have to be about something? Sorry Brian, I wasn't trying to imply that your video was pointless. Just a personal peeve of mine -- I like to see a brief description of what a video is about, before I decide whether to click through to watch it (no matter how well known the author is). pchapman 279 #17 February 1, 2010 Guess I won't refuse the personal invitation! It is video from Brian's POV showing him and Laura doing a little freeflying, and Brian flying & landing his canopy. This one isn't about anything serious like packing tips or how to stay alive under canopy. Just plain skydivers having fun!

flyhi 24 #22 February 2, 2010 Nice vid. Enjoyed watching it at work. Shhhhhhhh. Was that a 270 into the main landing area at Eloy at the end? Makes you an outlaw, doesn't it? Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Yes it does! Keep in mind that I had my own low pass, so I don't think it was immoral. Rules are meant to make worried people less worried. It usually doesn't work, and the rules usually just rob the human spirit of full expression. Worriers do not get alleviation from suffering through the rules anyway, that requires inner work, not outer controls. We will never get everyone in the world to do what pleases us, so we might as well let them do what makes sense to them, and do what makes sense to us.
