tkhayes 348 #1 January 30, 2010 Anyone else have the USPA seatbelt STC installed on their C-182? I have the STC, but would love to see a picture or two of one actually installed. thanks if you can post a few pics, or pm me TK
totter 2 #2 January 30, 2010 TK Are you in need of a picture to see if this mod will suit your needs or to see how everything is installed? If you need the info for installation have you contacted USPA to get duplicate info? If you are the purchaser of the STC, then the holder is required to support it as long as they hold that STC or stay in business.

riggerrob 643 #4 January 31, 2010 Hi TK, Did you try asking Jack Hooker (Hooker Harnesses, near Chicago. Illinois) or read the FAA report published in 1998?

As an A&P/IA it was great, to me, that you wanted to go that extra step to make sure that the jump mods were installed correctly.
lekstrom10k 0 #6 January 31, 2010 When it first came out inthe early "70,s" .I made a few sets then and still have templates. I seemed to me it had station locations. The rears went at the bulkhead behind the cargo door. Right and left were not interchangable. the big one behind the fuel selector didnt need the square bottomed notch as it cleared the rear seat attachment . It was to put the seat back in as needed, and could be a radius notch. The main stipulation was the grade of stainless steel higher than normal type. captain1976 0 #7 February 1, 2010 TK, I don't have any pictures but the ones I have been involved with have the 2 rear center belts attached to the rear seat far aft floor bolt (right in the middle). The extra sides attached to where the rear seat bolted to the side bulkheads. I don't remember an stc as we put in a bunch that way. We simply used the same thread hardware and some grommets. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
