rwieder 0 #2 December 19, 2009 DOM's? S/N's? Going by description, color, mfg etc...isn't a lot to go on. I hope the theif gets hit by a train.-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
grimmie 186 #3 December 20, 2009 My skydive rig was stolen about 15 years ago. A guy (Carl Nespoli) found it at the local swap meet and bought it. I know it's a long shot but what the hell, maybe you will find it. A friend's rig was just swiped and they found it out in an orchard. Thieves don't know what to do with our gear. Bastards! And if you need to borrow a BASE rig, let me know, I have one you can use, Mojo 280, Perigee. Good Luck!
rwieder 0 #4 December 20, 2009 I've got a BASE rig you could borrow for a month or so as well.-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

freeatlast 0 #6 December 20, 2009 Sorry to hear about this It would be worth posting the SN's here and on the BASE boards - that way we will all keep an eye out for your gear ... PS don't forget the tar and feathers if you find those responsible !!!
kawisixer01 0 #7 December 21, 2009 Ouch man that is quite the load to get ripped off. Sorry to hear that. I wish I wasn't a such a newbie and had some stuff I could borrow/give ya to get you back on your "jumping feet". I'd search high and low for someplace that coulda caught this scum on video if I were you, and make sure that if this/these POS are people from our sport that they get outed for all to know. Personally I think that anyone getting caught stealing equipment from fellow jumpers should be stripped for life of licenses/memberships. Hopefully it wasn't someone in the sport that doesn't know what they hell to do with the stuff and it ends up coming back to you soon.
tetra316 0 #8 December 21, 2009 If you have renters insurance you should check into that. My renters insurance covers anyting stolen from my car with a few exceptions, like cds/dvds. And this is why I never, no matter where I'm parked, leave anything valuable in my car.
flydog 0 #9 December 21, 2009 Also most renters insurance will discount anything you make income with. If you skydive as an instructor many will say its tools of the trade and not pay. Still worth checking though. If you work at skydiving or not try they might just pay.
Tiger6513 0 #10 December 21, 2009 Criminals who break into cars are generally stupid and desperate, try to look on craigslist and in local papers, it is possible they will try to unload the stuff close to where they stole it. sorry to hear btwTravis Roy Foundation. At very least its a tax write off
