DiverMike 5 #1 September 8, 2009 Can anybody identify/comment on the six jumpers who started off the WEBN Labor Day Fireworks on Sunday? They did a very good job on creating a pyrotechnic sky dance and then landing on a tennis court. It was nice to see such a positive demonstration of our sport. The diver who jumped the American Flag a couple of hours before the fireworks wasn't as lucky. He appeared to get caught up in a strong headwind. Watching him come down, I had no idea where he could land safely amoungst a couple hundred thousand people. He barely cleared the Fort Washington Way expressway and landed on a sidestreet. He landed without incident unless you count draping a hundred foot flag over an unsuspecting SUV. It must have been a major rush. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.
