Well, if she did stabilize head-down I suspect she wouldn't be wearing that dress for very long . . . her prom date was probably hoping she wouldn't be wearing it very long You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! pirana 0 #27 September 10, 2009 Quote Sell the dress back to Queen Victoria, and go skydiving Quenn Victoria?! Are you serious? It is obviously French, late 19th century haute couture. Queen Vic would not have been caught dead in that." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley
Bolas 5 #28 September 13, 2009 Quote I think everyone's covered the safety issues well enough, but your dress is gorgeous +1 Even if she can't skydive in it, I'd love to see her or any lovely lady in it. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
riggerrob 643 #29 September 13, 2009 On a practical note, the smallest round parachute - certified for human use - was 20 feet in diameter: the Pioneer K-20. It was only intended for petite ladies and was only made for a few years in the early 1980s. They have now all been retired. So you would need a much larger dress to survive the landing.
