mdetrano 0 #1 August 8, 2007 I just hosted Roberto (Tuelho) Luiz de Souza here in Costa Rica as part of his Skydiving Around the World project. http://skyaw.com.br Just wanted to say this is a very interesting project, and Roberto is one heck of a fun-loving guy. I think we were location #21 on his list, and the first country outside of the United States and Brazil (his home) to make the project. With no real drop zone here in CR (just a small club making a handful of jumps each month), it was really cool to have Roberto visit, and to have him get some excellent photos and video footage of this place. Keep checking his site for some views of skydiving over Costa Rica's west coast. He's got a lot more stops planned, and if you see him on his journey be sure to say hello. He's a regular jumper like you and me, with the exception of an extreme case of wanderlust. I think a lot of skydivers have fantasized about jumping in exotic locations all over the world...Roberto has the guts to make it a reality. (Good luck, man!) mdetrano 0 #3 August 9, 2007 Yeah, forgot to mention his famous BBQ! I missed it on his visit but some of the other jumpers here got to enjoy some good food. Norteamericanos may not be so familiar with the Brazilian barbecue tradition (I wasn't until I moved to CR). We aren't talking hotdogs and hamburgers here. This is substantial food! Do you ever let non club members jump with you?I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names.
