A collins lanyard is inherently very simple. Imagine an RSL with one end connected to riser A and the other end wrapped around the release cable going to riser B. When riser A is disconnected for whatever reason, it pulls riser B's release cable.

The skyhook has such a lanyard integrated into the system.

Beyond that I don't see why if someone wanted a collin's laynard on their system they couldn't add it in the "band-aid fix" fasion such as done with the old Vector tandems. Although I'm not sure about the legalities of such if its not recommended or approved by the rig's manufacture. That would be something for a Rigger and the manufacture to discuss.

I like to think myself situationally aware person (and having been trained and to be so under stressful environments and experienced those environments). In this situation, assuming an AAD is in use, and altitude allows (I habitually pull above 4,000 ft.) ***

Fair enough, I do hope you routinely tell groups getting out after you though that you routinely pull above 4000ft
:P
