All they really did was go up to where they where supposed to be. You are beating them up for giving a discount and then going back to regular prices like they said they where. I do think that most dz's do not charge enough for their jump tickets. Usually it's tandems and students that keep the doors open. Many dz's operate on a break even basis with experienced jumpers. This is in spite of the fact that the experienced jumpers use the facilities more than the tandems do. The jumpers whine about $18 jump tickets and then get pissed when the tandems get priority. While I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, I'm thinking that $25 per jump is reasonable. I remember when cigarettes went to $1 per pack there was alot of threats to quit but everyone got used to it pretty quick. I've been there twice in my short jumping career, but I can honestly say I have met and made so many friends there. I am not a sky goddess or even anything close to one nor am I a young skychick. I have never had a problem finding people to jump with out there. Once you get on with one of the load organizers they generally count on you for continued loads so all you have to do is speak to one once and be nice. That said if you want friends you need to be a friend. Even shy people have friends. As for the price of jump tickets I think 20 is about average at my home DZ (skydive ATL) but they do discounts once in awhile. All we have is a King Air, no bunkhouse, and it is almost 2 hours from my house. Look at everything Perris has to offer and compare that. If you are still not happy then go jump somewhere else, but don't bash Melanie and Diane and Ben for keeping their family business alive and running. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. As for the price of jump tickets I think 20 is about average at my home DZ (skydive ATL) but they do discounts once in awhile. All we have is a King Air, no bunkhouse, and it is almost 2 hours from my house. Look at everything Perris has to offer and compare that.
