Cessna 337

Recommended Posts

I know I've seen a pic somewhere of a guy exiting one. looked like he was in the process of a forcefull downward and outward dive out. I'd really have to be jonesing for a jump BAD!
i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. Naw I wasn't low I'm just such a big guy I look closer than I really am .

Why would it be dangerous?

Possibly because it has a prop behind the door, as well as in front.
337s have been used for jumps (mostly demos) but generally with the rear engine shut down for exit.:S

Hahaha well that makes perfect sense. In my 10 second search for pictures of it I didn't notice the pusher prop. I can see how it would be a bit of a scare getting out.

I thought jumping with the rear engine shut down for exit. I will think about it

Even with that engine shut down so it won't chop you to pieces, just remember that there is still a big sharp piece of metal sticking out. Depending upon where it comes to a stop, you could still potentially hit it. So a vigorous outward launch would still be a good idea.

That would make for a darned cool logbook entry.
