porpoishead 8 #27 January 10, 2009 QuoteP-head, weed-eater string......brilliant. yep, get some of the good quality heavy gauge stuff make sure its the round kind. stuff pulls out of the loop so effortlessly its rediculous. and its rigid enough to feed through the grommets fast and efficiently. the one I use is transparent plastic and it looks like it may have some kind of small wire reinforcement running through the middle..think its called gator wire or some shit.if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
hookitt 1 #28 January 10, 2009 When I use a shoelace, I just fold it in half and pull out the folded end. No aglets to worry about. Any type nylon ribbon tape works. Fold a length in half, heat up a butter knife (that you're willing to wreck) on the stove, then cut the tape the same direction on both ends. Or scissor cut and heat the ends on a burner or light it. make sure to leave as little sharp burned parts as possible Twine, Thick gauge wire, just about anything works in a pinch. Be creative, there is a lot of usable material around the house you can use.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry...
