AggieDave 6 #51 November 23, 2008 When I was a packer I would pay for a repack if *I* caused a malfunction. I would also help chase down the freebag and go treking across hill and dale to find the main with the jumper. I wouldn't have paid for lost freebags, handles, risers or the main, but I would work hard to help find the gear with the jumper.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Squeak 17 #52 November 23, 2008 Quote Total and utter shite. The whole point of a packer is "you pay your money, you take your chances." Well no Dave The point of a packer is to pack a rig for people who are ether to lazy, to busy, or to stupid to pack for them selves. But like some packers I know say.."You pay for a pack job, not an opening"You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? Lay it out flat and I can get it in the bag within 30 seconds. Whatever happens after that is YOUR problem. Where's my $5?My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239

And it's the only $5 you'll ever get from me." Multiply that little exchange by 20 and he will find himself without work, while the more conscientious packers make $6 to $8 a packjob. After a few days of seeing the good packers earn $300 a day while he makes $10, he might even start doing more than "stuffing it in the bag in 30 seconds." piratemike 0 #55 November 24, 2008 Quote Quote i was packing for a DZ, all of a sudden i have to pay for any lost equipment on a cutaway. WTF. Is this going on anywhere else? Troll accusation. This is my first. It could be a troll. I've never heard of such a thing as pushing the packer to pay for cut-away gear. So, until this incident has some names to go along with it, I'm going to assume that it's trolling.

Would you tell your boss who is paying you $50+ an hour you pay me to show up but not to work? This nonsense doesn't work for me. I don't stow my breaks or cock my pilot shoot unless things are slow and I FEEL like it. I pay WELL and expect the finished product to reflect the price I am paying. Any packer that thinks like you two will not pack for me and they shouldn't be packing for anyone. Let them go work at McDonalds for 9 bucks an hour. as to the OP I call TROLL as well just had to post about this bullshit about not holding packers to a standard equal to their wage MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. We must live life to the fullest EVERY DAY. Everything we do should have a greater purpose.
