stratostar 5 #4 April 1, 2008 Yea I guess you guys are right, I had a long time friend ask me about buying a gift for a friend and said they found this service online. I told them hey look out for the scam call....1800 eat shit, and he said no it's not called that and sent me the link, when I opened it, it smelled just like 1- 800 eat shit website and one quick yahoo search I found those matching phone numbers. Never seen that fake page before.you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
buff 0 #5 April 1, 2008 Being a KS jumper, I know there is no DZ in Topeka and the 3 DZs here (Wamego, Osage City, & Rose Hill) don't roll with 1-800-eat shit. I looked up those numbers and they return to a Balloon Adventure operation out of Louisburg, KS. Guess who I won't be calling for a balloon jump. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. So does that mean they are now duplicating that original coupon companies sites too? I cant remember the name of that company, they recently did an ad that was inside cover of Parachutist a couple of months ago. They have been around for years, as far as I know they are legit? Or am I totally confused

stratostar 5 #10 April 2, 2008 Well that's the biggest problem in the sport today, is all the self serving greedy fuckheads who would lie cheat & steal and even back stab their own mother in the back to try to get ahead on a DZ or in the sport instead of earning their way like the rest of us did. All the flash in the pan's who think their the next hot shit skydiver who show up and get all the rating as fast as they can and only take, take , take and never give back, all the while scamming and taking playing politics to a new level of fucking over their so call "friends & family" and large % of new jumpers today are right there sucking their ass & pumping up their egos before they too have to dig the knife out of their back or get ripped off by the scumsucking lowlifes of the "extream generation".you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

tkhayes 348 #13 April 2, 2008 http://atlanta.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=39&bbb=0443&firm=13003271 fresh new look my ass, they are the same as always, bad rap with the BBB and failing to resolve the complaints. they have even more complaints now than they had a year ago, from what I remember seeing last year. bottom line is that it is pretty easy to get a good rating with the BBB, even if you have customer complaints. You just need to show the BBB that you are trying to resolve them. having a bad BBB record pretty much shows that you suck.

redlegphi 0 #15 April 7, 2008 I'm fairly certain that Perris accepts Skyride (they're on the Thanatos list), which is why that number can be used to get you a jump ticket at Perris (or any number of other Skyride affiliates). Or you could just call their regular number that they have listed on their site.

Some of these accept skyride, some do not. In addition to Perris, Skydive Carolina, Skydive the Farm, Deland, Skydive Arizona, Skydive Chicago, Skydive Tecumseh, and AerOhio, along with many others, use that number. I wouldn't judge a DZ based on use of that phone number.
