bigway 4 #26 July 3, 2006 Got to love how they show cloud busting to that extreme on national telly. It is illegal is it not? I have nothing against it but i have never been allowed to jump through cloud like that in this country before. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
bigway 4 #27 July 3, 2006 Very detailed story! Nearly every single skydiver owns a pair of gloves. All that with tampering with his rig as a joke asks alot of questions. I sure hope that bloke was not in the middle of trying to cut his shit and got interupted. I give kudo to all that par-took in this show. It is very imformative for a whuffo and does not do any injustice for our sport like i imagined it would. However i can see it starting more discussions in the sun and other papers like that tomorrow. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
Yossarian 0 #28 July 3, 2006 i thought it was good overall, certainly not bad for the sport i dont think. the rig tampering sounded like they just popped his main-pin so he had to repack, they just took ages to say it. the only problem i had was them trying to push murder without providing any motives or suspects or anything. ah well, im sure its all been discussed before, and i can imagine theres a fair few pages on it to occupy my time! bigway 4 #29 July 3, 2006 Hell, if i was to come from a conclusion from the facts presented i would say murder. Don't have a clue who but i could not imagine anyone having that much fun the night before and then killing themselves. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . Scoop 0 #30 July 3, 2006 I thought it was quite good although alot still remains unanswered. Did he pull out his PC or was it still in BOC? Was it a cypres fire that released reserve or did he try EPs himself? Whatever happened I think its fair to say we need to pay more attention to our kit, we are a very trusting bunch with what is really a very serious piece of equipment. Paticularly those who leave their kit at the DZ. Also did you notice the free plug for dropzone.com
 bigway 4 #31 July 3, 2006 They said he did everything he was meant to do. in other words he pulled, and then went for reserve. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
 Scoop 0 #32 July 3, 2006 Then it appears only one possibility which just reitterates the need to look after your kit The worst bit is if it was murder the person may still be among us. That freaks me out a bit considering the size of the active skydiving community. I don't read anything into the joke deploying of his main in a cloakroom stunt. When the police asked me what I thought of it I simply pointed out that a mate had done exactly the same thing to me in the pub a week earlier. The draft obituary the police were oh-so-worried about was hilarious by the way. Proper skydiver humor showing proper skydiver respect to a mate the way only skydivers do. I'm sure Steve would have loved it.
 bigway 4 #35 July 3, 2006 The show was very equal. Only ever provided facts. Last I spoke with him though he was considering a change... not heard from him for a while though. You should get in touch mate. The other guy full-on cut away, dropped out of the Army and is living on a DZ in the States. Who could blame them for having problems? I guess it's gonna be hard to cope when your C.O. calls up the press and tells them exactly who's just about to be be arrested then sees to it that you're completely ostracized from the rest of the cohort by holding regular public briefings for your class mates on the progress of the case. It also kinda puts a downer on jumping when the DZO tells you not to bother visiting your home DZ in the near future. So him trying to save his own life twice raises alarm bells, but what would ring the biggest bell in my head would be if you saw on video him pulling at the normal altitude. I mean if hes going to commit suicide and lose his nerve he's going to do it much lower than normal deployment altitude. *note* Not pointing fingers at any of them on the prgram, but its just very odd for suicide1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit.
