jdunbar 0 #1 September 22, 2008 Does anyone use their protracks with their macs? What software do you use? etc etc.
DARK 0 #2 September 22, 2008 i would love to know the answer as l+ say they have no plans on releasing a mac version of their jumptrack software and therefore no mac interface to put your jump data on the computer sucks ass to be honest
danielcroft 2 #3 September 22, 2008 I've thought about this too. Unfortunately JumpTrack uses MS Access databases to store all your info and while you can get drivers for Access on a Mac, I don't think they're cheap and definitely not supported by Microsoft (there's no Mac version of Access). LloydDobbler 2 #5 September 22, 2008 Like ryoder said, Paralog is about the only way to go on the Mac. Works pretty darn well, unless you have an earlier-model Neptune and have to deal with the funky IR issues.Signatures are the new black.
danielcroft 2 #6 September 22, 2008 Or an AltiTrack which doesn't look like it's supported.
DSE 5 #7 September 23, 2008 Altitrack isn't supported. i've written to both L&B and asked, and to Paralog. Apparently L&B prefers to keep it proprietary.Paralog has some featureas I really like. Unfortunately, the Altitrack is the only alti I like for wrist mount.
jdunbar 0 #8 September 23, 2008 I have looked at this, and it will work but sadly the far superior version 5 doesnt work on 32bit macs due to a java conflict! grrrrr
DARK 0 #9 September 23, 2008 how od you get the information from the pro track onto the mac?
kingbunky 3 #10 September 23, 2008 you might be able to go the parallels/boot camp route and run windows on your mac. i know you're looking for a native version but it doesn't look like there is one."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." danielcroft 2 #11 September 23, 2008 Doesn't work very well unfortunately. The problem is the USB dongle, it's really sketchy so you get maybe one jump at a time & then everything gets messed up. It's pretty sad that there isn't a solution for this. My wife has an AltiTrack and we have to load all her jumps onto my work laptop.
