dmitri76 0 #1 March 8, 2005 Hello, I have 45 jumps but no license and stopped jumping last June :( Now i really want to start again, but if it means taking AFF all over again, then i don't think i can do it. Does anyone know what re-training i'd have to do ? I was jumping alone or with 1-2 people, using a 210 main with throwout .. Does it mean i have to go back to student 288 with a ripcord ? :( The dropzone was and would be Adventre Skydiving in Hollister, CA. Thanks !
Dougiefresh 0 #2 March 8, 2005 Take your logbook to the dropzone, ask them.Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
kelpdiver 2 #3 March 8, 2005 I've been asking Hollister and a few others what to do if I can talk my buddy into coming back. He stopped when I paused, but so far hasn't returned. Past a year, many thought it best to start from scratch, but said that he might well do the AFF sequence in much less than the usual 7-8 jumps. OTOH, I took 7 months off and Perris just redid the FJC in a 2-3 hour session and dropped me one level to the release dive. But I only had 8 jumps total. The weather got real nice in the last couple weekends - it's very green at the LZ. Give em a call.
