SStewart 13 #26 August 8, 2008 $35 is ten minutes at the bar. Add a cheeseburger and some fries and you shot your wad for the day. I have easily spent over $7000 of my own money in the last year to do this job. No complaints, I knew the realities when I got involved. But please don't even think we are being compensated for our efforts. We are volunteers and this is our way of giving back to the sport. More later,Onward and Upward! Drinking booze is not required for you to do your job in a not for profit organization. Quote But please don't even think we are being compensated for our efforts. We are volunteers and this is our way of giving back to the sport. I understand that it is a volenteer position. I also understand that you volenteered to fill it. I am not in any way saying that we don't all appreciate your ability to volenteer. That is what not for profit organizations are all about. All I am saying is that a $35 per diem is pretty much a standard for out of town business travel in any organization, and that it is more than enough to fill yourself with healthy food.Matt Christenson mattchristenson@realskydiving.com http://www.RealDropzone.com - A new breed of dropzone manifest software.
