Deisel 38 #3 August 1, 2008 On the ramp of a C-17/CH?? But I guess it depends on aircraft availability and if the reenlisting officer is a jumper as well. The brave may not live forever, but the timid never live at all.

racerman 0 #6 August 3, 2008 Both of my friends did it on the way to altitude in a C-180. I held a US Flag patch both times while the oath was given. Good Luck, and from one vet to another...THANKS!!!!!
jtval 0 #7 August 3, 2008 Is the NBlood? Tell him JT said don't let him spot.If for some reason he "forgets" what I mean remind him of his first jump back from Korea when his was in Mesquite Nv.We landed in a different state. (which isn't hard to do since the Landing area is only a few hundred feet from the stateline but its fun to break chops.) Oh and congrats on your reenlistment. post pictures. andoneward 0 #8 August 3, 2008 Doing a reenlistment jump is something I'm offering everybody I work with. I only had one person take me up on the offer so far and he had the time of his life. As long as you have Old Glory in the plane, you can do whatever you like. After the oath, we took the flag and folded it. Then I put it down my shirt, jumped with it, and then presented it to him on the ground. Here are some pics... Clicky

wrightskyguy 1 #10 August 3, 2008 I re-enlisted in freefall many years ago with the late Jerry Hoekstra as the re-enlisting officer. We held a flag with reenforced handles between us as I recited the oath then trailed it under canopy, very nice!
