mic8952 0 #1 August 4, 2006 I'm trying to locate a hot air ballon pilot near South Jersey who is willing to fly jumpers. I'm hoping somone out there knows somebody. I've been waiting a year and was cut out of my one chance so far this season by my ex. Would really appreciate any info. Thanks in advance for any help with this! cocheese 0 #3 August 8, 2006 He who dies with the most balloon jumps wins. I have 2,... and one full ride. Got a balloon corporation just 6 miles from here. They want $175 to 5000 ft.per person. I should put an ad up there saying I'll jump from your balloon ride for $175.

TALONSKY 0 #5 August 8, 2006 WOW, that seems expensive. A few years ago some friends of mine got several balloon jumps set up at $75.00 each. Each day there were two loads of 6 jumpers. They are a total blast. Kirk
cocheese 0 #6 August 8, 2006 Yep , Those aren't boogie prices. But you do get a free glass of Champaign with every ride.
RkyMtnHigh 0 #7 August 8, 2006 Loved my hot air balloon jump last Labor Day. We got out at 7K, landed in a cow pasture. The pilot had a rough landing down a small hill, so I'm glad I had the option to get out _________________________________________

RkyMtnHigh 0 #9 August 8, 2006 Love helicopter jumps too! I've done way more of those...my favorite was at the Keys Boogie last year. The pilot gave us a beautiful tour over the water...very nice _________________________________________

cruzit 0 #11 August 9, 2006 QuoteLove helicopter jumps too! Yep, they're awesome. It's all that dead air. I've missed a couple of balloon opportunities. The last time, I blew a sinus the day before, so my husband made a balloon jump with John Hoover instead of me. They landed in a field with a mad cow and mad farmer. Both of them ended up running away from the deranged duo. Hysterical story.

Bertt 0 #14 July 16, 2008 $90 would be very reasonable around here (southeast USA). Don't know about Poland. You don't have to outrun the bear.

lauraliscious 0 #18 July 17, 2008 Quote sorry for refreshing. is $90 too much for a baloon jump ? Would you be willing to pay that price? I've done 6 balloon jumps, and they are TOTALLY worth spending $90 on. I think I paid somewhere between $70 - $85 for all of mine. To the OP, $90 sounds reasonable. We got lucky at Skyfest and had a pilot who was also a jumper- he managed to get a ton of the loads back to the DZ which I've heard is pretty uncommon. I believe those jumps were $85 and TOTALLY worth it. $90? Do it. Hell, do it twice I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon.
