violarockstar 0 #1 May 9, 2008 Hi, I'm new to the boards here. I've never gone skydiving and I really want to do a tandem jump. My question is, do I need to be concerned at all about my height/weight? I'm 5'0" and 123 lbs. Do they make harnesses for short people like me? Just wondering if anyone has any advice. Thanks so much, I appreciate it.
SkyHigh04 0 #2 May 9, 2008 I'm not an expert by any means but I've done tandems and this is a pretty simple question. At your height/weight, there should be no problem at all for you to do a tandem skydive. My advice: have fun. JohnMitchell 16 #3 May 9, 2008 Yes, the harness is adjustable in about 8-9 places. They will have no problem snugging you in. As light as you are, it should be a very comfortable jump. I love taking people your size. Prepare to have your fun meter pegged. Have a good time.
GreyLake 0 #4 May 9, 2008 I'm also 5'0" and I've made 10 tandem jumps (at different times and for different reasons). Indeed, harnesses are adjustable. Today I jumped (at the same time, practicing for shooting video with) a tandem student and her instructor, and she was a few inches shorter than us! No taller than 4'9". It was her 2nd tandem jump, and again she had a great time. So go have a great time!Let's go to candy mountain.
