Piltus vs. Caravan

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I am going to conduct a study for operational costs comparison between Pilatus and Cessna Caravan/Grand Caravan.
While I go to the workshop to inquiry about maintenance plans and local costs, I am wondering if somebody has some information previously made about this.
Kind regards.

You guys.

He's asking about operational COSTS (including maintenance costs), not profit margins.
sheesh.

Sorry, MICHELANGELO. I know little to nothing about the question you're asking. Just thought I'd try to help keep the responses on topic.
My reality and yours are quite different.

Go to the PAC750XL (Pacific AeroSpace Corp.)website. They have a comparison chart between a number of aircraft for operating costs. A Caravan and Grand Caravan is listed, new and used categories also.
Porter costs would be best figured out by one of the many DZ's operating them.

Pilatus is a Swiss aircraft manufacturer that makes a number of different aircraft. That name by itself does not refer to any specific airplane. If you are referring to the Pilatus Porter which is common in skydiving, then you need to say that specifically. "Porter vs. Caravan" would be a more correct title.

You are right JohnRich. I let myself go by the custom of calling it Pilatus as if everybody in skydiving world would identify it with the Porter, which is the one I was effectively and actually referring to. PC-6 more exactly, I guess. And the version is B2H4 or something like that.

Thanks for your cooperation to clarify this matter.
