Weather during day of skydiving

I was wondering what the ideal wind gust is for a day that is considered ideal for skydiving at 12,000 ft.

Would ideal wind conditions be soemthing like 5-10mph?

thanks for taking the time to read this. please let me know.

Gusting winds are not good, but a steady wind @ 5-10 can make landing nice. :)

The winds at altitude are irrelevant, except for spotting the proper exit point. It can be blowing 60 mph at 12-grand, and that's not a problem.

What counts for landing safely is the wind at ground level. A steady 5-10 mph is very nice. Most experience people will jump with winds up to about 17-20. Above that, some of them will start standing down.
