bjelder 0 #1 March 6, 2008 Hey everybody- First just wanted to say what a great site this is! Really cool community. Just finished my 2nd AFF jump and can't wait to continue. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody out there is a pilot for a DZ. Seems like a pretty neat job to me (might do a number on the old sinuses though! up down up down up down). I have my flight instructor rating and commercial pilot license (single and multi-engine) with about 800 hours. I'd imagine it gets pretty complicated flying jumpers as with the center of gravity shifts when jumpers drop, getting the right pitch attitude so nobody gets their heads bashed in, etc. Anybody out there care to share what its like to fly jumpers? Any good stories? I'm going airlines in about 2 years when I graduate college, but its something I've always wanted to do later on down the road. FWIW, my DZ flies a twin otter and skyvan. Thanks all!
