It's like equvilant of the pilot having to pay for his own slot. That aside, it looks like a very fine line you have to walk to fly jumpers without a commercial certificate, and like most things in skydiving it's a non-issue until someone goes in. asmund 0 #27 February 21, 2008 Way I understood the report, only way it could be not for compensation or hire, would be if only club members were allowed on board the plane, and such membership, skydiving service, jump tickets etc, were not being offered to the public at large (i.e. not accepting members of the public). This is in line with the FAA rules taught at commercial certificate level examination.
