spencer 0 #2 December 4, 2007 For the guy who you hand your money over to, its a brilliant course, and yes when it first started lots of students found work, mainly at the course owners DZs. others have gone on to find work at other DZs. But others have found themselves very and I mean very short of money, and NO work to pay the loans off, for the course and the gear, ie rigs. The bit of paper that says Diploma means nothing in truth. Go to a good DZ, do the aff, hang around and learn from the people who work 7 days aweek , who sit around all day when the weathers shit, learn your craft from these people, these people have nothing to sell you,
chipiematt 0 #3 December 4, 2007 cheers for your comment, seems a lot of people think that way, ive already done aff and got my b licence, its was the 32 weeks of being involved with skydiving all day that appealed, and being in new zealand!!! living in uk dz's shut down at winter cos its so cold , and even through summer weather is crap, so find it hard to jump alot.did you say tequila??? freeflysteve 0 #6 December 5, 2007 Well as you know Nethers shuts this Sunday 9th Dec and re opens i think Saturday 26th January. So if you can afford the course and you want to go to NZ then just go and do it. Doesnt really matter if it doesnt fulfil all your needs it might be just later on you wish you had gone so theres no time like the present. I am sure most of the fun will be the people you meet and the travelling you do. Best of luck. Steve Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
