What can we do about Skyride?

No I know for a fact that there is an Alabama location that is seperate from asc. Some of the instructors from here have had to go there when they are understaffed.

Alabama Skydiving Center (I believe) in Pell City. City is right, name could be wrong.

Did it occur to anyone that [freefallmama1] and [Perplexiti] are trolling for information?

And they happen to post pretty much at the same time, or very close in time to each other. Maybe a mod could look at the IP addy of both?

Good question. I called. They told me Danielson, CT, which is the other DZ in CT. They aren't even open until May... if that (heard they may not reopen).

Now the fact that it would be a much longer drive, and I'd be jumping from a 182 instead of a super otter, and it would cost more doesn't bother me TOO much. I mean that's the business model of 1-800-skydive, which is perfectly legit.

Wonder how many people have been told they can't skydive in CT until May. Or how many have shown up to an empty DZ.

Dave

Perplexity has posted before -- unless she has been very studious about setting up an ID even before this thread started, she's a real person who started jumping at ASC last year.

Man, that would be prescient of them to set up some IDs just in case someone started to talk about them. Nope, no way.

People can be loyal to many things. And yes, the children of the most dubious of parents still love them. What you do is give them plenty of good, positive examples, and hope that when they fly away they remember that results from good examples last better, longer than the bad ones.

Funny thing that you people seem to distrust me but how about asking me questions? That is the best way to find out about someone. If you are suspicious about me working for skyride call and ask for me. I have nothing to hide. I just wanted to ask some questions.

If you want to ask about skydiving, there are lots of forums here to do just that, and people would be more than happy to answer.
If you have questions about skyride, all of the questions and answers have been asked and answered in this thread.
Happy reading:)

Yes I'm sure they have but unfortunately I do not have the time to sit and read through 40 pages of thread to find my answers. I could however choose to not ask and remain ignorant but that is not my way of doing things. I do apologize if that bothers you.

well if you choose NOT to read then that is your choice. Ignorance is bliss or so I am told.
One additional thing I have learned here, that no one is truly anonymous. Everything leads back to somewhere;)
I have nothing of additional value that I am willing to contribute to this thread.

In the time you spent adding several new pages to this thread you could have gotten thru the first few pages where most of the info came out anyhow. This would have included the link to the site PilotDave listed.

Sorry I bothered you. I won't anymore. All you people say you think all the skydivers should ban together and go after the bad guys but I ask some questions and you act like I am out to get you or something. Yes all roads lead back to somewhere I told all of you where I am.

Oh you haven't bothered me in the least.:)
The thread continues to grow, and ALL of your questions have been answered in this thread. No need for people to reiterate.
Just as there is no need to tell anyone anything, especially when they already know it at some level.B|

I know USPA has sent a letter to Skyrider to straighten up their unethical acts. I wonder if it will do anything? In the mean time if we all want to get together and do something we can. Remember the idea of not buying gas when the prices were going up. If Americans don't buy gas for one day it would be detrimental to the gas industry. I have another idea for Skyrider. We can all spend about 15 to 20 minutes a day clicking on their featured sites on google, msn and yahoo. It will drive their advertising expenses up to point that they can't afford it. If they don't want to be ethical about business practices why should we?

Just a thought.
See you up there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be unethical do do that. Please don't. Fight the good fight and stay ethical....anything else will lessen the complaints we have.
