im trying to stay on topic so moderators feel free to move this post but did anybody recognize that in this months parachutist that ASC in cedartown and Pell City AL, both now have group memberships??umm werent they both revoked like 3 months ago?

My understanding is they will have them through the appeal process.I hope USPA does not start back paddling.Maybe everyone should give their directors a call.

Giving them baack group membership during the appeal process is a good way for USPA to avoid a countersuit if the appeal is won. Or at least maybe deflect a countersuit. (I am not a lawyer but this seems to make sense to me.)

As I posted before somewhere in this thread, the USPA is reviewing their decision having been contacted by legal council for Casc.Inc.
It has nothing to do what so ever with the impending litigation.
They are two independent separate issues.

I thought USPA was a "private" organization and could accept/deny membership at will without regard to idiocy or assholistic activity..

Yes, but they must do so in line with their own rules. The USPA received a letter from B&C's lawyer (although my impression was not that it was any formal request for a review of their decision and more just a bitch). The USPA accepted that letter as a request for an appeal. I think that's a very intelligent decision on behalf of the USPA because it means they're going not just by the letter of the book, but are seen to be going above and beyond and thus cannot be criticized for not giving B&C a fair time.
It's also entirely fair that a proportion the board didn't vote. Those who didn't are DZO's; they could be seen as having a conflict of interest. It is again a very intelligent call keeping them out of the voting procedure. I'm amazed some point to this decision as a way of suggesting the vote in some way lacked legitimacy – it's the very thing that maintained the legitimacy of the board's decision.
I would be surprised if the decision was not upheld on appeal. But the very fact that the USPA took the letter as a request for an appeal will in itself only add to the weight of their final decision. I welcome the move as it will remove any scope for reasoned criticism of the final outcome.

Funny story but relevant..
Went to Morocco in the early 70s. Landed at Fez and was pulled out of line at customs. Sat in a little green room for 4 hours. Finally a customs agent comes back and says "Follow me." He led be back out onto the tarmac and escorted me onto a plane back to Spain saying, "We don't want you or your kind in our country." I was an obvious "hippie" at the time.
Summarily dismissed from the country. B&C's dismissal was/is at least reviewed and voted.

I remember an English teacher once telling me that I didn't need to learn English so I could use proper English in every circumstance, but I needed to learn it so that if I ever wanted to I could use it! Now, I look at a post like this, and it rings sooooo true! When you have to read it 3 or 4 times just to try to figure out what the person is trying to say because it's one long nonsensical, run on sentence, you just can't help but think 'IDIOT'!!!
Here, I'll paraphrase what Sunman's trying to say for any of you having a hard time with it.

Sorry, but this isn't a busybody created soap opera, but a legitimate complaint against business owners with really bad business ethics. I live on the west coast and am about as removed as anyone from the topic and I completely agree with the complaints against Skyride/ASC.
