Anvilbrother 0 #1 September 28, 2007 U tube The pug was halfway outta his jump suit(sack?) at the end of the jump. The goggle/lips in the wind is priceless. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. everymansaved 0 #2 September 28, 2007 We just did that at our dropzone with a Jack Russell named Mindy. I think it was her 8th jump. Earlier this summer I believe she was the first pooch to ever do a downplane!God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires. Nutz 0 #3 September 28, 2007 That Pug did not look happy. (You can tell be the way he is licking after the canopy opens.) I don't think those kinds of jumps are cool, it borders on animal cruelty - but maybe that is just me. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

glorystomper 0 #5 September 28, 2007 Actually, it's not just you. I'm not sure I would go so far as to call it "cruelty" but there's no question about it being stupid, self-serving, and irresponsible.

Kiki32 1 #7 September 28, 2007 I know an old school jumper who once took his cat with him on a jump. The cat peed all over him, naturally. Poetry don't work on whores.
elias123 0 #8 September 28, 2007 LOL, I know about a simillar story where a jumper took a cat (not his cat, jus 'a' cat) on a jump with him. He jumped, the cat dug it's claws into the jumper and when he landed it ran off like a bullet. "In a mad world, only the mad are sane"
grimmie 186 #9 September 28, 2007 About 10 years ago the late Robin Wilcox used to jump with his dog Pud. Pud seemed OK with it, but a lot of people gave him crap for taking the pooch jumping. He treated that dog great.
elias123 0 #10 September 28, 2007 Some animals may like it and some may not (I once heard that skydiving for a dog is like 'the ultimate car window') but I, in no case, approve jumping with animals, however funny it may be."In a mad world, only the mad are sane"
kschilk 0 #11 September 28, 2007 That must be the guy I'd seen a segment on some news show about. It was several years ago but as I recall, the "animal people" observed the dog on the ground and while jumping. They determined that it was "cruelty", to leave the dog on the ground when his master went jumping. They concluded that the dog thoroughly enjoyed skydiving, it was being done safely and when the dog was left on the ground, he experienced health-threatening emotional stress. A representative from one of the animal organizations (I believe she was from the Humane Society or SPCA) appeared with him and testified to their findings, showed video clips of the investigation process and gave him their blessings. billvon 3,063 #13 September 29, 2007 > but there's no question about it being stupid, self-serving, and irresponsible. No more so than putting a sled dog in a harness and making him run, or putting him in the back of a pickup and driving on a freeway, or firing a shotgun two feet from him then having him retrieve a bird full of lead, or having him harass sheep, bulls and cows, or having them hunt boar. Heck, some militaries and rescue units jump with dogs - it's a way to get search animals into otherwise unapproachable areas. During WWII some dogs even jumped alone. Dogs are animals with likes and dislikes, like most other animals. Some dogs like riding in the backs of trucks, skydiving, pulling sleds, swimming underwater and some don't. One would hope the owner could read the animal well enough to know what it likes and what it doesn't. In any case the owner is a better person to make the call than people on an internet site. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=parachuting+dogs http://wiki.wwiionline.com/index.php/Parachuting_Dogs

The chicken landed with one of the guys and she was allright, but I dont think she like it too much.
