vskydiver 0 #5 July 17, 2007 I took the class when I was 16 but we got winded out. So my first jump ended up being a few days after my 17th birthday. By then I was going out with the jumpmaster.
JENNR8R 0 #6 July 17, 2007 I wonder if I am eligible for the Dinosaur Award? Is there anyone else who was older than 52 when they started and went on to get their 'D' license? I'm just four jumps away from that milestone. I hope to have it by next Saturday. Most women start much younger and stop skydiving by the time they are my age. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday. skypuppy 1 #8 July 17, 2007 I was 18 but really immature. With a bit of an alcohol dependency, and god knows what else (it was the 70's!) It took a long time, but I think I've matured since then. Realistically I couldn't have started any earlier, but I could have done more jumps. I slowed down a bit in the mid-late 90's until 2003 or so.If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead.
