funkcanna 0 #1 July 29, 2007 Hi all, I got my new custom rig about 2 weeks ago and jumped it for the first time this weekend. Its a Mirage G3 with a Sabre 2 170 main. Ive seen a few mixed comments on the Sabre 2 on this site so I was a bit unsure as to how I would like it. Anyway I jumped and I have to say im in love! The openings were perfect (albeit with end cell closures on every jump) and all on heading. The canopy is responsive and flying it is a pure joy. Landings were sweet too. The only problem I had was picking the slippery son of a bitch up! :P The Mirage G3 is so confortable it feels like its part of me. I had alot of cuts and bruises when jumping my last rig and assumed this was part and parcel of skydiving, even though people informed me otherwise! The difference in jumping a custom rig is unreal and far better than I imagined! Anyway to sum it up i'm one happy chappy! :)To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. If you stick with that, we'll never be confused again

peanutgallery 0 #3 July 29, 2007 Congrats! Do you mind if I asked what you paid for the rig? I know I'll be looking eventually and I'm just curious as to what beginners are dropping on custom rigs. If you don't want to post it that's cool.I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
