monkycndo 0 #5 July 2, 2007 Wait to buy any gear until you are cleared for self supervision. Then goggles and helmet(Protec= real protection and cheap) are nice to have. Goggles without scratches and a helmet that isn't full of someone elses sweat are a plus. Then go alti and finally jumpsuit.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Your hands... Although maybe I'm being narrow minded, there may be other places that you can wear them... *************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. Yossarian 0 #8 July 2, 2007 one of my instructors told me he always wears gloves (even on naked jumps... ) as once he reached up to grab his risers on deployment, his canopy span up, and one of the lines cut through his hand and fore-finger to the bone. personally i look at my gloves, see the battering theyve recieved in the 80 jumps ive had them and am grateful it wasnt my hands... usually from any kind of sharp edge on the aircraft, or, mostly when i was a student, landing badly and scraping hands on gravel, concrete etc... plus it gets very cold up there!
