voltage 0 #53 February 21, 2007 I've never done a tandem, directly started with AFF dives. But after watching the movie 'Cutaway' I think I missed out on some fun. So I need a cute female jumpmaster to take me up for my first tandem
Lastchance 0 #55 February 21, 2007 Three. Where I took my AFF it was required. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
BigO 0 #56 February 22, 2007 I've done one and yes it was uncomfortable having a dude strapped to me, but I got hooked, so what i've done is go to a wind tunnel to practice flying, arching properly, legs etc. Now i'm going for one last tandem to make sure I still like it before moving onto AFF in a few weeks. Somehow I can't see not liking it as it's all I think about these days.
Eule 0 #57 February 22, 2007 Zero - my AFF 1 was my first jump ever. Yes, I got sensory overload. Based on that, my advice to n00bs (if I can say that with less than 50 jumps myself) is to do a tandem first. That way, most of the "OH SH-T I JUST JUMPED OUT OF A PLANE AND I'M FALLING" can happen when you don't actually _have_ to do anything. You'll probably still get a little of that on your next few jumps but it won't be nearly as bad as the first one, IMHO. EulePLF does not stand for Please Land on Face.
