CanuckInUSA 0 #3 December 27, 2006 Waiting is something you need to get used to doing in this sport since we do a lot of it whenever Mother Nature yields her ugly face to us. Remember, it's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than to be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
somethinelse 0 #4 December 27, 2006 Oh my heart bleeds for you... In Michigan we gotta wait out the winter snows! Count yer blessings, Tex.
MagicGuy 0 #5 December 27, 2006 Yeah dude, wait until it's a beautiful day out and you're down at the DZ and EVERYONE is jumping, but the wind is just a bit too high for students. Those days suck. Yeah, it's been two weeks for me with no jumps and this past weekend I was getting really antsy. Work has been sucking lately and I really need to jump. To make things worse, my buddy called me yesterday with a spontaneous idea for a road trip to Florida to go for New Years. I was so close to quitting my job... Try to be patient bro. I know it's hard, believe me, this cold weather shit is killing me and all I want to do is jump. The time will come. On the other hand, it's awesome that you're so enthusiastic! Especially still being in AFF - wait until you can jump with other people.

Hell I have a hard time waiting for the next flight up. I was so calm my first jump, like I knew this was going to be my lifetime hobby and that this was me. I dont know how to explain it. I really do love it. It's a blast Sorry, that was a soapbox I was standing on, and I really dont wish this on anyone. Good judgement comes from experience, and most of that comes from bad judgement.
