kelpdiver 2 #51 October 26, 2006 Quote And wait a second...there's TWO types of "A" licenses? How do we know which one we'll get at our DZ? No, there's one A license. To get it you need to do a 3500' jump and deploy within 5 seconds. The fully spelled out progression has a practice jump at 5500 to do it with a plenty of air to spare. DougH 270 #52 October 26, 2006 QuoteDepending on your dropzone they can be cheaper so you can spend every last little bit of money you have. (I just started packing when I did the H&P too.) You: Reach into pocket, "I only have $6.50, what can I get?", while staring at manifest. Manifest: Pulls calculator from drawer, "That will get you 1,450ft.", while staring at you with a crazy look. You: Drop money onto counter, "I'll take it.", while smiling like a crack addict who just got another fix. You have quite the imagination, considering you have a pack opening minimum of 3,000 feet. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
Butters 0 #53 October 26, 2006 Bummer, real bummer. Oh well, someday I won't have a pack opening minimum, someday. PS: I like the stories of the people turning points on H&P from 3,500ft."That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
