slug 1 #5 October 24, 2006 Hi B_T If I was a dealer I would do my best to get you exactly the best gear ever made, at the best price, in the shortest time. We could also arrange to set you up some tunnel time, coaches, babes and brew. You've earned every penny you got and deserve nothing but the best, now. You'll have a great time and your pockets will be forever flame proof. Trust me To bad we're not a dealer and don't have anthng to sell. If i was a DZO, dealer, coach, babe etc I would be getting in touch to see if I couldn't help you out. Enjoy R.I.P.
Peej 0 #6 October 24, 2006 Dude it's a great idea to get all of your peripheral stuff first, alti, jumpsuit, goggles, helmet, etc. Spend the balance on getting your skills up and then when you're ready, buy decent second hand gear, or if you can afford it but a new container at least and get second hand canopies. GPSJane 0 #8 October 24, 2006 I know the feeling! It's just so much fun to go through the whole of Paragear.com and find all the things I'd love to have. Then when it comes to paying I have to take it all out my basket again and only buy the one important thing I need. One thing, surely you can't jump with sunglasses as a student with 11 jumps? I am sure I was only allowed to use my tinted lenses and gloves after I got my license. Not sure what USPA says though, this is PASA.Only skydivers know why the birds sing; they don't have to pack a parachute!
Peej 0 #9 October 24, 2006 Cool Just something to think about, if you're jumping an open face helmet with plastic framed glasses, i always worry about a rough landing, foot in the face, etc that could shatter/ break those frames near your eyes. of course, ymmv.
