Channel 5 UK Friday 19:30 - 20:30

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen the advertisement for channel 5 tommorrow evening RE the peregrin falcons, base JUmpers and skydivers doing ballon jumping looks pretty interesting, apparently the falcon is going to be trying to catch up to skydivers/basejumpers holding food in thier hands to see how fast the falcon can go!

HEADS UP EVERYONE LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE A REALLY GOOD PROGRAM FOR ONCE!

Is this Leo's documentary? Channel 5 description says:

Quote

Flying With Falcons (Nature)
Time - 19:30 - 20:30 (1 hour long)
When - Friday 6th October on five
Documentary. Falcon expert Lloyd Buck assembles a crack team of balloon pilots, skydivers and base jumpers to help him test his trained peregrines to the limit. But how do you get a peregrine to fly its fastest? The team decides they must make man the prey.

Leo's website says:

Quote

The Falcon That Flew with Man

The inspiration behind the memorable peregrine balloon jump in BBC's 'Ultimate Killers', is Lloyd Buck. He assembles an expert team of balloon pilots, skydivers and his peregrines to crack the question once and for all.

I have the DVD - it is absolutely brilliant. When Leo and Andy did a 'making of' type presentation at the BPA AGM two years ago they were holding a packed out auditorium full of skydivers in the palm of their hand.

So yeah, unless Channel 5 have edited the crap out of it then it will be well worth watching:)

Wow now that is fast 200mph in under 2 sec.
if only you can pull that off in FF.
falcons are such incredible species of bird
Awesome program, a bit dangerous for andy in the bird man suit when the falcon tried to make him go into the cliff.
