Inthebuff 0 #26 August 2, 2006 I did a naked two way once from 12.5 K. The whole thing was an absoloute scream. Didn't have a protrac on but we were motoring,i reckon at least 150 mph ( no drag and my mate weighed about 16 stone ) Real nice feeling falling through air with nothing on. If you did a two way you would just laugh at each other all the way. Make sure your leg straps are tight because I doubt if anyone will check them *********************************** Fly Like Zie Eagle, Not Like Zie Chicken ! Good advice from an instructor I know. MotherGoose 0 #27 August 14, 2006 So the 100th jump has come and gone . . . I finally decided to go with a nice 4 way hybrid with outside video. Exited the Cessna in a linked 3 way with 2 chasers. Quickly stabilized and tucked my knees, dropping me below the two way. Flapped around a bit but gained stability, then the stinger dropped in and stood on the two way above me, holding for a solid 6-8 seconds. It was some cool shit. I have 3 separate camera angles, outside, stinger and base. The footage is all great but the stinger view is the best. It may not be on the top of the list, but I highly recommend a hybrid for the centennial jump. Its actually a lot easier than I thought it would be to hang. When my DZO found out it was my 100th and he gave me the jump for free, charged the others for 10,500 then actually flew the load himself and gave us almost 13000 for no extra charge. I was very impressed, and flattered. All in all, it was a memorable jump and capped an excellent weekend. I FUCKING LOVE THIS SPORT !!!You think you understand the situation, but what you don't understand, is that the situation just changed.

No my math is just fine . . . all you big plane skydivers are spoiled for linked exits. Our little C182 has a step about the size of cinder block. Its kinda hard to exit 4 way linked, ( not impossible, but hard) so we go three out then the stinger chases and docks after with outside camera last. I called it a 4 way hybrid, I may be mistaken with the terminology. The jump consisted of a 2 way base, 1 hanger, 1 stinger and 1 outside camera ( 5 people total) <---see good mathYou think you understand the situation, but what you don't understand, is that the situation just changed. NWFlyer 2 #32 August 14, 2006 It all adds up if you include the video guy. Generally, though that's referred to as a four-way with video... and the way you described it made it sound like you had five people in addition to the video. And watch who you're calling a big plane skydiver. I learned at Cessna DZ and at least 1/3 of my jumps are out of 182s and 206s. I have yet to jump anything else, I hear its a blast, and there's something to be said about getting up to altitude without having your legs fall asleep under someone elses ass !! C182's are good times though . . . it sure is intimate !!!You think you understand the situation, but what you don't understand, is that the situation just changed. MotherGoose 0 #35 August 28, 2006 UPDATE : I suppose the centennial jump has officially been christened. Special thanks to Peter Chapman for the high quality close-ups. I will never ever forget my 100th jump . . . the dive itself was memorable and of course, getting tackled by 8 guys with chocolate syrup, corn syrup and whip cream, not to mention 4 pies . . . it really warms my heart and makes me feel lovedThere are several up and comers right behind me with their 100th jump, and I can't help but feel obligated to play a large part in their initiations. Did I mention that I freaking love this sport ?? EDIT . . . IS THIS WHAT YOU GUYS MEANT BY GETTING WET ?????You think you understand the situation, but what you don't understand, is that the situation just changed. MotherGoose 0 #37 August 31, 2006 Ok . . . so the swooping pond can also affectionately be named the pieing pond, if your DZ has one. I must say it was a bit chilly but lots of fun. Its a shame if your DZ doesn't have a swooping pond, they sure do come in handy for various other activities. I attached a couple more pics of my public ridicule for everyone's enjoyment. You think you understand the situation, but what you don't understand, is that the situation just changed. Muffy 0 #38 September 1, 2006 Well that explains the not so faint combo of whip cream and swamp water that seriously impaired my mess test later that day; my eyes were watering so badly I had to don googles! Honestly, I believed you when you said some wuffo bidch from the city spilt a latte on that rig. Once again, I'm disappointed a duckie wasn't sacrificed. That pond is gonna make a claim if one isn't made soon.
MotherGoose 0 #39 September 1, 2006 I'm having trouble convincing Joe to "sacrifice" a duckie for the sake of "safety". Either way, the pond was only about 3 feet deep where I was. I'm sure a floatation device won't be mandatory. I'll work on it for your 100th Muff . . . I'm sure the pond will be in use again . . . EDIT that bucket of water you got for your solo was a cakewalk compared to the wrath of the pond !!!! see attachedYou think you understand the situation, but what you don't understand, is that the situation just changed. BDashe 0 #40 September 3, 2006 i kinda did two, i did one for my 100th overall and one for my 100th solo (not including my tandem). one i did an 8 way sit, which was awesome, had 3 docks going at once (Thanks team one) and the other i went ass naked. I highly recommend the nude jump, fun as shit, i did it in the winter so it was frickin freazing, and even more embarassing (think a pool with ice cubes in it) but totally worth it. didnt hit me till i was undercanopy and i look down thinkin "YYYYYYYYYYYYup. Im only wearing shoes right now" go bigSo there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983
