I have noticed that there is a boogie coming up. is that somewthing I should plan on doing next year or is this an event that requires more skill to be in. If you have your A license by then, it shouldn't be a problem. If you don't, you may be limited in what you can do since it is my understanding Skydive Moab does not have a student program (other than tandems). Your best bet would be to contact the DZ for specifics once you know where you are next year skill-level wise by the time the boogie rolls around. Moab is at about 4,500 feet above sea level, so it does require good canopy skills as landings will be much faster than you are used to if you normally jump at or near sea level. Boogies in general are usually fine for newer jumpers as long as they are aware of how boogies can be different from a normal day at their home DZ. There are some good articles in the Safety section on this site. http://www.dropzone.com/safety/Boogie_Safety/index.shtml"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
tdog 0 #3 September 6, 2006 The landing area is huge. There are plenty of friendly people. I don't think you should have any problem there - so as long as you have a handful of jumps under your belt.
