dontiego 0 #1 July 27, 2006 Anyone heard of that? http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/news/story?id=2498115 QuoteThe latest Interpoker Extreme Poker Challenge will be held on a plane. OK, that's not so bad, right? Wrong. You bust, you jump out of the plane. The six players will have parachutes. None of you who thought of participating? I wonder how much training they get before they get on the plane... or if they will jump AFF, S/L, tandem..."We call on the common man to rise up in revolt against this evil of typographical ignorance." http://bancomicsans.com

panzwami 0 #6 July 27, 2006 Looks like we just missed it: ---------------- InterPoker celebrates WSOP with Loser's Leap InterPoker is celebrating the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) with another of its infamous extreme poker challenges. Loser's Leap will see InterPoker host a card game with a difference as a number of top poker pros fly over Sin City with their parachutes at the ready. This is because if you lose in this extreme poker event, you have to undertake the Loser's Leap and fling yourself out of a soaring aircraft. Taking place on July 26th from Jean Airport, the latest InterPoker extreme event will involve top players such as Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari and InterPoker's very own Scott Fischman. All players will embark on a SkyVan aircraft before cards and chips are dealt and the game begins - however running out of chips at 10,000 feet means a swift exit from the plane! Peter Marcus, InterPoker spokesman, said: "This Extreme Poker event creates an unprecedented challenge for the players to overcome because each of them will have to fight through the stress of knowing that of they lose, they're going to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. "In this event, the poker pros aren't just overcoming some discomfort or strange circumstances, there will be a huge element of adrenaline and a degree of genuine fear. That will make for an even more entertaining time for everyone." InterPoker players have a chance to qualify for the extreme poker event by taking part in the online qualifying tournament on Saturday July 15th. DontPanic 0 #7 July 27, 2006 Now if you really wanted to make it "Extreme", you'd make it a game of strip poker.

Adriandavies 0 #11 July 27, 2006 No gambling was involved but a couple of years ago a programme in the UK was called 'Drop the Celebrity' It involved 6 b and c list celebs being asked questions with the loser of each round doing a tandem back to the ground. They used a Hercules and built a temporary TV studio in it. It sucked although on th ebright side one celeb who couldn't follow instructions (she didn't lift her legs up on landing) broke her ankle on landing!
