A well led tracking dive with fast participants and a good leader is a whole different story. And a ton of fun. We have a couple guys that really know how to backtrack well. In fact, I track medium ok and following these guys in a freefly suit is really nice for stretching my abilities (no side or back sliding with these guys, though there are some guys that can as I hear a good backslider can go quite fast) This next year, if I follow "Josh", I'm switching to my RW suit to have the booties on - he's fast. no vids, and if I did you'd be bored anyway ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
Combat_Wombat 0 #27 February 1, 2006 QuoteQuoteyou try to cover as much distance possible in the altitude you got But thats not the metric for Derbies. Its as much distance in a specific time, not altitude. No way! I didnt know that... should have done more research ;) But still, the "flatest" possible track (body orientation and vertical speed) doenst give you the best glide imo
