Well that didnt last long :-)

Recommended Posts

I havent jumped since Sept 4 and I posted a few months
ago that I decided to quit jumping.
I even sold my rig.

Well, not jumping doesnt seem to sit well with me. Think about it all the time, and I'm having regular skydiving dreams. At least a couple per week and those are just the ones I remember :-)

Well, I've decided to quit quitting.

I'm placing an order for new gear next week and will be back in the sky in a couple months!

I wasnt gone very long, but I sure did miss you :)

Maybe you should join sumpin like Skydivers Anonymous... ya know, get a sponser for those times you feel weak and need a jump fix.

Wait.. that's how I got the addiction; from hanging around with skydivers. ;)

Welcome back.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Welcome back...

I haven't jumped since October because of the damn Canadian winter. I will do at least a few snow jumps when the weather is sunny, not too cold, at some nearby Cessna dropzone that is sometimes open for winter jumping. I'm pretending to fly my canopy through the office hallways while working late, when going to the kitchen or bathroom :S:D

Look for me to jump like crazy during some midwinter skydiving vacation down south...

But not until after I spend some money on some ski trips first!

Buwahahahah....funny as hell dude. Good for you! On a side note, you will not be recieving your 4 month coin now.:D

Good idea is to either hold onto your gear, or sell it and hold onto the money in a coffee jar for the next year or so.....that way you'll have it for NEW gear! WHEEEE!!!!!!!

Everyone who decides to quit should hold on to their gear for 6 months because it often works out this way.

Quit or not, I would have sold the gear anyway.
Had that not been the case, I would have waited to see if I was serious about quitting before selling it.

I needed the $$ for something fast and it was the biggest value I owned at the time. It had the go.

The upside is I can now begin to anticipate my new rig which I have designed to look even better than the previous one and have added hip rings to the options
which I didnt have on the old one.

The downside is that my old canopy was just starting to get packable, and now I'll have to start from scratch with new Zero-P.

Aint life a biotch? ;)

Skydive Toronto is opening for the season at their new Cookstown location (about 30 minutes north of 400/401, off the 400 by the Cookstown Outlet Mall) the first weekend of February....
If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead.

Must've been the people you were jumping with 'cause the sport itself has always been much the same.

Planes parachutes adrenaline and gravity.
Trouble is there's really nothing else quite like it .

Good luck with your latest incarnation.

ps it can be more fun kicking a bit of groundhog ass occassionally..... they deserve it... let 'em have it.

:)

Nope. My best jumping buddy is still my buddy off the DZ.
We have other common interests.

We did some hot jumps together and I'm hoping to continue that :-)

Glad to hear this was a win/win situation. I sold my gear once after a really good offer thinking I could just buy some more. What a hassle !!! My new Javelin took 2 months to arrive and I was begging gear for all of that time.

Yeah, I too sold my gear, I did need some of the $$, but also been going through some things lately.
Now I wish I could get gear again, but I don't know how realistic that is, considering I'm still in college.
I guess I'll wait and see.:|
