Rookie120 0 #26 December 24, 2005 Sounds like the health insurance I had when I was in college. It was meant to be used for the ultimate "Oh Shit" situation either from skydiving or snowboarding or something. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! rmsmith 1 #27 December 24, 2005 The irony is that almost everyone who works in the skydiving business doesn't have medical coverage. It's sort of like the cobbler's children are barefoot. I have medical coverage through my employer, but the policy has become leaner and leaner each year, and we can now expect to share in at least 20% of the actual expenses, and many lab procedures are not covered. Oh, and we don't have dental or vision either.
godfrog 2 #28 December 24, 2005 I have medical insurance through my job that is a 90/10 policy I also have a short and long term disability that pays 66% of wages and a life insurance policy which is the most difficult because I have so many black marks against me they think I am a dead man walking. it would be easier for someone on death row to get a policy!!!!Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

skydivermom 0 #30 December 28, 2005 I am currently looking into "accident insurance". There are some policies I believe will specifically cover skydiving if you are a uspa member. I've gotten a couple of quotes for policies ranging from 2500-10,000 per occurance. The deductables range from 100 to 250. I'm still doing research on them so I don't know all of the specifics. We are insured but I'm going to sign up for this as well. For those of you who are not insured, this might be something to look into. I believe the costs range from $30 to $45 a month.Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:
