thegreekone 0 #26 November 14, 2005 just discussed this with a friend this morning. jump 8 or 9 I spent on my back flailing for a LONG ass time. Almost dumped on my back, but didn't. Backflipped and dumped prolly a good second before my FXC fired. Instructor knew to get me up right away again and it was a perfect jump from start to finish. That is when I knew it wasn't all shits and giggles and still wanted it for myself.
sirenoremac 0 #27 November 15, 2005 Being on a 12-way with Craig G. and Eliana at Eloy, diving behind Eliana having her glance at me as I flew down the hill, take a sort of analyzing look, and then nod. Hehe... felt real nice.
steveorino 7 #29 November 15, 2005 I'm not sure proud is the word I'd used to describe these highlights, but they are memorable moments. First jump (1977 in Army) D license PRO rating getting a check (video) for jumping! pinning my son's airborne wings on him I look forward to two things: a) having my wife pin my gold wings (1000th jump) soon. She pinned my military jump wings on me a looong time ago! b) becoming an AFF instructor one day steveOrino
Orange1 0 #30 November 15, 2005 In my short career: - first freefall (off the dope rope) - first time i was allowed to spot for the load (yes we all made it back - and it was a cessna so it was a "real" spot ) - getting my A. I hope there will be lots more!Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
Jumpah 0 #31 November 15, 2005 In my extremely short career... 1) Dealing with my first line twist with spins on jump 8. Lost much of my fear of after working through that. 2) My 7-year-old nephew's bugeyed expression while watching one of my skydives on video. (He wanted to know why his Dad didn't do it too . His mom has done a tandem and has agreed to do another one summer '06. Negotiations with Dad are still ongoing...) 3) My tandem. That started all this!
