ragglesnarf 0 #1 November 6, 2005 I finished my AFF (only took 7 jumps) and have completed the required number of jumps (actually over) for my A license. I have been jumping out of paracentrum, Texel NL and will be in GA (brunswick) from dec-may, but would like to get my A while in GA. I'm good with all the requirements except packing and would like to know the best way to get my A while in GA. Thanks in advance....
NWFlyer 2 #2 November 7, 2005 Why don't you contact a DZ in the area and find out what type of documentation they would require from Texel? That seems like the most reasonable place to start. They could advise you on any gaps in your training and what it would take to complete your A requirements at that DZ."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. ScottyInAus 0 #3 November 7, 2005 Start with learning to pack. In Aus you can't get your A licence without being "cleared to pack" I don't know about anywhere else though Cheers, Jason.
Luminous 0 #4 November 7, 2005 As long as you have a properly completed proficiency card, or 'Gold Card', it should be no problem getting the 'A' license stamp. If you don't already know, sorry, this card is included in the back of the SIM and list all the requirements that must be signed off by an AFFI, and once completed and stamped, becomes your temporary license. Please do not consider it your 'Go out and be stupid license'. (standard speech. ) Edited to add: Oh yeah, this is assuming you're in the States. Whoops.
