RhondaLea 4 #3 October 28, 2005 When I still worked in DeLand, one of the guys was getting his tandem rating, and I "volunteered" to be his dead weight. I always kept a bowl of Brach's cinnamon candies (later, other flavors, because skydivers are a whiny bunch who had no hesitation about complaining of the lack of variety), and on the second or third jump, he grabbed a few on the way out to the plane. After pitching the drogue, he made a big show of unwrapping the candy and sticking it in my mouth. The I/E came within an rch of not passing him because he said the prospective tandem master wasn't taking it all seriously enough. Somehow, IIRC, it was all my fault. Does that count? Once you have your 'A', try taking another skydiver's knee between your legs and then exit. There are numerous versions/combos of this out there. DrewGPM 0 #15 October 28, 2005 Muffins were pretty easy, until they started falling apart. Spaghetti was pretty easy too...no sauce of course. Two friends did both of those...very funny videos! I prefer my snacking to be limited to cross country jumps,more appropriately referred to as "Dinner Cruises", I've taken a whole list of items on those, including burgers, a sub, grilled cheese and chili. I do agree that things taste better up there. Eating dinner and watching the sun set at 12,000 feet...what a view! If I had a tandem rating, I'd take a date! Diet Coke (no sugar to make your clothing sticky when it sprays all over you, but it will still stain the white sweatshirt) Water Bite of a Power Bar. Part of a bagle so.. yeah few times. :) The Lemon wedge is a good thing to enhance the senses, or to cause distraction. I've had freefly students take a lemon wedge and bite into it in free fall and make sure they taste it. Whether it helps or not, I don't know but since they believe it helps... it helps. Either way it's still fun. Didn't care much for most of the other foods but it's still fun to do mid freefall sometimes.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry...
