aquaflamz 0 #1 May 11, 2004 It all started when I was in 2nd grade and rented a book from the school library titled "Skydiving." That was 12 years ago. Now I have two tandems and 8 minutes of simulated freefall in a wind tunnel under my belt. I am finally gonna start my AFF training here in a couple of days. W00T! Any last minute advise from people that have completed their AFF and achived the A license? BLUE SKIES

JohnMitchell 16 #5 May 11, 2004 Practice those emergency procedures, either in a harness or in your head, a lot. Make sure they are a part of you, a completely autonomous reaction, not just something you learned in class once. Pace yourself. Don't downsize too fast and get hurt. I'll have thirty years in the sport this fall, and it's been a great way of life. Don't cut your career short by doing something stupid. Welcome to skydiving. Don't try to rush to do make up jumps when you get consecutively winded out. Keep up a pace that's most comfortable for you. You've got your whole lifetime ahead of you. How many hits of adrenaline can you take?
