HydroGuy 0 #26 September 6, 2005 QuoteI was told this weekend by an instructor. every time you jump you are commiting suicide until you do something to change it think about it makes since ken Comparing skydiving to suicide is asinine. I skydive because I want to live. Suicide is when some loser gives up and wants to die. That instructor probably uses that douche bag-esque quote to impress whuffosGet in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
kelpdiver 2 #27 September 6, 2005 QuoteSuicide is when some loser gives up and wants to die. aye- often described as either a cry for help, or a last selfish act to punish loved ones. Skydiving fits neither category. Better to phrase it as 'dead until you act otherwise.'
Suavel 0 #28 September 6, 2005 QuoteQuoteQuoteYou will hear nonsense about how the drive to the airport is more dangerous than the jump I have said before that my four hour round trip to and from the dropzone is more dangerous than actually skydiving. . Why, are you stoned or drunk when you make the trip? No, just tired both ways. I guess I just feel pretty safe when I'm skydiving. Even when I had my malfunction I felt like I knew what I had to do and I did it. It's all a state of mind I suppose. I'm not looking forward to an eye opening near death experiance while skydiving.
