JENNR8R 0 #1 September 2, 2005 "Monkey" seems to be a very popular word in skydiving-related names. Can someone enlighten me on its significance? What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
DrewGPM 0 #2 September 2, 2005 I'm going with the "spanking the monkey" as the tie in to the sport. Q. "why'd you start skydiving" A. "I got bored spanking the monkey all the time, I needed something else to on the weekends...." A case could also be made for the origin being someone being told he looked "like a monkey fuckin' a football"...as during a funneled exit.

However, unlike chimps taken skydiving, we usually manage to stay alive on each jump. Bonus points to anyone if they can name why real monkeys that have been put in solo skydiving rigs die.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

That, my dear, is as good as it gets. ----------- That doesn't explain why Chuck Blue chose Skymonkey. Certainly that must be an interesting story. ------------ Now, getting a Monkey Name is even more of an occasion.
