voovoo 0 #1 April 25, 2004 Hi, Is it bad to deplay your main at 10K? It took me almost 20 minutes to get down... I was not a happy camper....
AggieDave 6 #2 April 25, 2004 Dude, only 10k? I do that all the time for fun! Although you probably weren't supposed to do that on that jump, that's ok, I bet the next AFF you do you'll do just what you're supposed to and pass right along.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I was not a happy camper.... but Im sure you had all the time to enjoy the scenery.... It's not bad for you or the canopy. Can be bad if it's not planned and there's other jump planes in the air...scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #4 April 26, 2004 only bad if the pilot doesn't know! They will let you know if it is ok (could be airtraffic). Could also be bad if you live in cold weather and jump w/o gloves I s'pose. :) Angela.
Frenchy68 0 #5 April 26, 2004 Better start flying 90° to the jump run, especially if the plane turned around for a fly over after dropping you off, or if there is another plane dropping of jumpers a few minutes behind... Gave you as much canopy time as a dozen jumps would have though!
