2 Cutaways in 5 days

There's a few people I know that actually had pools started as to when their next cut-a-way was going to be as they had them so frequently. :D

Think of it this way. What are the chances that your going to have another mal any time soon. 1 in a gazillion or something like that. I'd say your good to go.

My coin just came up heads 5 times in a row. What are the chances it's coming up heads on the next toss? Answer: at least 50/50. Past events have no bearing on probability for random events.

Mals aren't truly random, but the odds only go down if you can correct for a likely cause, like a new packer who made a mistake. If the gear is bad in some way, the odds stay higher. If it was just an unlucky day, stays the same.

You've already gone back up and jumped again, so you've "proved" you can get "back in the saddle". But if you're wiggin' out and pulling at 9 grand, which is really not cool for other people in the air, maybe you need to take a break.

Taking a break is PERFECTLY OK. It doesn't mean you're quitting. There really is a whole world out there full of other things to do. Take a class, learn how to make pottery, go to the beach, or volunteer some time with Little League or something. It can broaden your horizons.

Chances are after a month or so you'll start to miss jumping and want to get back out there. Right now you sound like you're trying too hard and not enjoying it. And that's a drag. So give it a rest and it will be there when you're ready.

I've also had one intentional, so 4 total

One intentional? Why?

It is part of becoming a tandem instructor.

Strong Enterprises insists that all aspiring TIs have at least one cutaway before they can attend a TI Certification Course.
I have helped a couple of young guys who were such good packers that they had over 500 jumps, but zero reserve rides.
I helped them clip an old chest reserve to their bellies. They did hop-and-pops, flew their mains over the middle of the DZ and cutaway at 3,000.' While they concentrated on landing in the bowl, we retrieved their mains, freebags, etc.
The next day they jumped with a Tandem Examiner.
